What is Reiki?
Reiki is the foundation of Magic Reiki Cave and the reason my spiritual journey expanded and developed the way it has. It's a truly beautiful and effective practice than brings calm and balance to even the most hectic of lives. Sharing Reiki and its benefits with others and seeing the results is what pushed me into perusing healing as a full time occupation, I truly believe that these kinds of healing methods can and do benefit all and, if you're open to it, can help promote the level of wellness and spiritual connection that you've always hoped for. Reiki has helped me immensely, allowing me to remove mental blockages that were stopping me from achieving what I wanted and I believe it can help you to. Below is a brief introduction to Reiki, if you feel drawn to it then keep an eye out over the coming days as I explain further how it works.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese word (Rei) which means “Universal Life” and (Ki) which means “Energy”. Reiki practitioners channel energy in a particular pattern to heal and harmonize.
Reiki energy has several basic effects: it brings about deep relaxation, removes energy blockages, detoxifies the system, provides new vitality in the form of healing universal life energy, and increases the vibrational frequency of the body.
Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-invasive form of hands-on healing. Reiki healers claim to channel Ki (energy) into “diseased” individuals for rebalancing. Reiki healers differ from acupuncturists and alike in that they do not try to unblock a person’s Ki, but to channel the Ki of the universe so that the person heals in a way that's for their highest good.
The key is to understand that Reiki will enrich your life and give you happiness and health on all levels. Reiki is Universal life force energy, that which sustains life and promotes healing in all living things. Reiki practitioners believe it is important to live and act in a way that promotes harmony with others.
Since the word Reiki means Universal Life Force Energy, it (strictly speaking) refers to the energy and not the specific techniques taught by Reiki Masters. The limits to Reiki seem to be in the recipient's willingness to cast off old habits and patterns, to accept change and to accept healing. The other meaning for healing, used in the practice of Reiki as well as other related areas, is the return to greater wholeness. Over time, the healing of the world's ills will be accomplished and, with Reiki in the hands of everyone, that day will come much more quickly. (Please observe that Reiki should never be used instead of medical treatment, it should be used as a compliment and a way to become and remain healthy and improve your overall wellness.)
If you are interested in Reiki It is likely you have been guided on your healing journey, your journey of spiritual purpose to many places and many experiences in the past and now find yourself here, at this place, as you continue to further explore the possibilities for deep healing and inner discovery. Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Reiki system of natural healing, recommends that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony, which are nearly universal across all cultures. What is Chakra Balancing?
The art of chakra healing has been used for centuries to balance important energy centres in our body called chakras. We can use a number of different tools such as crystals, colour, energy healing or meditation during chakra balancing. The end result will be a physically healthier body and a happier, more peaceful you.
We all have seven primary chakras that correspond with vital areas of our bodies and emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives. The seven chakras form a line from the base of your spine to the top of your head. Chakras have their own colour, vibrational frequency, and symbol. For example, the first chakra is found at the base of the spine and is known as the root chakra. This chakra governs the spinal column, kidneys, legs, feet, rectum, and immune system. So, when this chakra is out of balance, it may lead to lower back pain, varicose veins, leg cramps, rectal conditions, depression, as well as immune related disorders. A lack of balance in the root chakra may be caused by feelings of low self esteem, insecurity, or family concerns.
Other chakras include the sacral, solar plexus, heart, throat, brow, and crown chakras. Each energy centre must be vibrating at the proper frequency independent of one another in order for the entire body to vibrate in harmony. Therefore, each chakra is equally important to optimal functioning of the body according to the chakra healing tradition.
Many powerful tools can affect the vibration of the chakra, and that's where chakra balancing comes into play. Chakra stones, the human voice, music, chants, mantras and chakra meditation bring the frequency of the chakras back into proper vibrational alignment. For example, the root chakra is greatly affected by crystals such as hematite, red jasper and garnet. During chakra healing a practitioner may use a variety of crystals to cleanse your root chakra and bring it into harmony.
Chakra meditation may also be used to open up your chakra centres and improve the flow of positive energy in your body. During meditation you simply concentrate on each of the chakras starting with the first one and working your way up to your crown chakra. By imagining the flow of energy from chakra to chakra, you are helping to remove blockages in each energy centre that might be causing pain and disease.
Because the chakras govern every organ and system in your body, chakra healing has far reaching health implications. Chakra balancing can lead to improved heart, lung, brain, immune and digestive function and may also help with depression, anxiety, and other emotional imbalances. Many believe that the chakras have the power to transform your life both physically and spiritually. It is only when our chakras are in sync that we can truly access higher levels of consciousness.
If the powerful art of chakra healing sounds intriguing to you, please do drop me a line, we can talk about what Chakra might need healing and what services I can offer you to help lead your energy centres into harmonious vibration.
What is Crystal Healing?
Crystal healing is a holistic and natural therapy that taps into the energetic and vibrational power of crystals and how they affect the body and mind.

Crystal healing is an energy-based system. This means it is based on the belief that we are all made up of different energies that vibrate and that when this becomes stagnant, unbalanced, or blocked, it can cause illness. The premise is that crystals help unblock, balance, and direct energy where it is most needed, gently supporting the body to heal in a therapeutic way.

Different types of crystals are thought to have different properties and energies. Just holding and being near these crystals is, therefore, thought to affect our own energies on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level.

What is Sound Healing?
Sound healing is a deeply therapeutic method of vibrational energy healing. Using various sound healing instruments, such as singing bowls, durms, chimes and rattles, sound can create calm and peace within even the most hectic of minds, allowing mental and emotional release as well as psychical healing.

On the physical level - sound works with the body; it can cleanse the organs of toxins and help to regulate their functions as each has its own frequency, it can help to relieve constipation, headaches, throat problems, stomach-aches, and aches in the joints and bones.

On the emotional level - sound helps to move and release emotions which are stored in the body. Through this process old patterns and behaviours which are no longer serving one’s highest good are released. The release of these emotions allows for a greater flow of energy throughout the body by clearing energy blockages. This flow of energy also strengthens & balances each chakra, bringing about greater emotional stability.

On the mental level - sound can assist in relieving stress which is often held in the head area, particularly tension headaches or migraines. It also helps to quieten repetitive thought patterns from a busy mind & relaxes one into a meditative state where deep inner silence & stillness is experienced.

On a spiritual level - sound can clear negative energies or entities that may be attached to one’s aura or any other part of one’s being. Some people describe the healing process like a shower running behind the scenes, cleansing you without your awareness of it.

Once you’ve experienced sound healing on a regular basis, you’ll find the body reaches a parasympathetic state, which is homeostasis or rest and digest. This is because the vibrations from sound healing can have a positive effect on the autonomic nervous system which controls heart rate, digestion, respiratory rate and pupillary response. The sympathetic state, or fight or flight, is often experienced in modern life because people are constantly in a state of stress. This is when the body begins to break down, so it's important to reach a balanced state – that parasympathetic state where healing can occur and all of our systems can repair themselves. In this state, the body releases hormones like serotonin and dopamine that help us feel relaxed, happy and at peace. It also boosts our immune function and helps energize our cells. Your breathing slows down and becomes deeper, your heartbeat slows and lowers, metabolic rate slows down, blood pressure drops and blood flow increases. Your immune system strengthens and you're better able to fight off colds and flus. Your organs shift back into alignment with their correct vibrations, helping them to function more efficiently. You feel more relaxed and at ease, reducing stress levels. Sound healing is like a big reset button for your body.

Due to the intensity of sound healing, these sessions are generally not suitable for people with pacemakers, electronic or metal implants, people prone to fits or seizures, women in their first trimester of pregnancy and people with low blood pressure, unless agreed by your doctor.
What is Hopi Ear Candling?
Hopi is an ancient treatment, known to have been used by Egyptian, Aztec, Tibetan, Chinese, Mayan and Indian cultures for thousands of years. It brought to the west from the Hopi nation and remained a popular treatment throughout the globe.

The treatment involves placing a hand rolled, fabric candle, that’s opened ended and soaked in natural beeswax and essential oils, into the ear and lighting the upper end. The heat creates gentle suction down the candle into the ear and allows impurities to be drawn out of the ear. A short, pressure point, fascial massage follows which assists with drainage of the sinuses and eustachian tubes.

Hopi is a gentle and very effective treatment that can help with a wide range of things such as tinnitus, hay fever, divers ear, glue ear, itchy ears, vertigo, headaches & migraines, ear wax build up, hearing loss due to compacted wax, sinusitis & facial tension. The added benefit being that it’s also deeply relaxing
